The benefits of meditation are many. Whether to disconnect and recharge from the continuous fast pace and pressure many of us experience daily, to come to conclusions of things on your mind, or simply to relax and enjoy quiet time and space with ourselves, meditation is a very effective and essential practice of self care. Meditation has been proven to prevent and reduce the effects of many chronic health conditions, particularly those influenced by stress., which are unfortunately and increasingly becoming more common for many of us. This workshop will teach the fundamentals of meditation, as well as several relaxation techniques, and will include handouts you can use a a practice guide going forward. Join us Wednesday, January 20th, beginning 6:30 to 8:30 PM and leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and inspired to practice attaining more peace and clarity in your mind and well being. Bring a cushion or pillow, or there will be chairs available. Light refreshments will be served. Soothe your soul with sound! Come join us for a soothing sound bath on Thursday November 12th beginning at 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The sound of crystal singing bowls is not only relaxing, but promotes heathy cellular function by way of resonance...How does this work? Imagine you strike a tuning fork in the note of G. Now, hold that tuning fork very close to, but not touching, a guitar. The frequency of the tuning fork will affect the G string on the guitar, making it vibrate and you will hear the same tone. This is exactly the same way that the intense sound of singing bowls affect the cells in your body, it promotes healthy resonance. A person will be affected on all levels of mind, body, and spirit.
